Earn $$ with WidgetBucks! WidgetBucks is the latest craze at the moment, first it was AGLOCO, then BlogRush and now WidgetBucks. One of these things that sort of go massive and everyone blogs about.

What is WidgetBucks?

Basically its a widget that displays products related to your site and pays you per click, they are boasting a eCPM between 3-6$ depending on the type of add you promote on your site or blog. Here is what a typical ad will look like:

Basically the ads are for products which you can select what products you want it to serve or you can have it scan your content for you and it will pick the products for you. When you sign up to WidgetBucks you get a bonus of $25 for signing up which makes it worth the signup even if you dont promote the products you may always change your mind down the line.
They also have a referral program: “With WidgetBucks’ Referral program, affiliates can earn a 10 percent referral fee based on the commissions earned by the people they refer. Affiliates receive this 10 percent for the full 12 months after the new member joins. Payouts to affiliates are monthly, along with their commission checks.”

Why I won’t be using WidgetBucks

  • My blog is about making money online, most of the readers/users are trying to make money not spend money on products.
  • The widgets are in flash and I think having one flash banner on this site is enough as it does get annoying when trying to read.
  • All of the products are in $$$ and the other sites/blogs I could possibly use the widgets on are based around the UK/EU Market so I don’t think many would click on them.

Conclusion

I think overall it looks like a good program to be apart of but I think they need to add a few things such as geotargeting and non-flash ads

I agree with your points. Blogs like yours and mine would not benefit from using it however other blogging genres could do well. Dont think theyre going to get $3CPM though.
