I have seen something similar myself with plenty of US clicks but no conversions. That said, my UK conversions are not exactly impressive either so perhaps my results are more balanced.

You were getting the clicks so I doubt it was down to the design since they were reaching eBay. Does the product you chose have an equal standing in both countries? Some things are more geared towards certain places.

The only other thing I can think of is that because of differing economic states between the two countries, the UK perhaps has more disposable income for the "impulse buys"? 

Just some thoughts but I would love to figure this out since I am planning to start some niche stores of my own very soon.</description>
