Firstly apologies for not posting as much as I normally do, the university degree course I am doing is a lot harder than I originally thought, so most of my time is going towards personal study rather than blogging and internet etc.

What I want to talk about in this blog post is obvious from the title ‘don’t be afraid to blog as yourself’. What I mean by this is, be yourself when writing, don’t write as if your a professional blogger if you’re not. Its taken me a while to figure this out because if you look at some of my earlier posts in this blog, you will find I don’t really put any personality in my posts and kind of keep it on a professional basis.

But ask yourself do you want to read a professional blog with no personality or do you want a read a blog that has personality and opinions rather than keeping straight down the middle and not showing your opinions because you are scared of what others might think. Like I said before I have been guilty of this for a long time and only now I realise than this is my blog and if I want to say fuck in a post I will. When I first started I would have never dreamed of posting something with swear words in because its seen as “unprofessional”, but in reality anybody who knows me, will know that I swear my fuckin head off all the time, in fact I swear far too much, but hey that’s just me!

As a conclusion of the point I want to get across is just be yourself in your posts because its your blog! you don’t have to be professional if you don’t want to be!

It took me 4 months of blogging to figure this out. So if your a new blogger I’ve just saved you 4 months time! Hey you can pay me back by buying me a beer below
