Many programs such as ReviewMe count RSS Readership as something to rate your blog, but ask this question what would you rather advertise on a blog with 50 uniques a day with 200 RSS readers or a blog with 150 uniques a day with 25 RSS readers ?
I know which one I would rather advertise on. Just because a blog has more RSS readers than another does not mean it has more readers, because some people like to visit blogs from bookmarks rather than reading from RSS.
The reason why I am writing this post is because my traffic to this blog has been going up up and up, but my RSS readership has started to increase and now started to decrease. This started to de-motivate me slightly but then I asked myself the question Does RSS readership matter if you are still getting regular traffic?
I know what you’re thinking now you should read the ‘Why does my Feedburner Subscriber Count Fluctuate?‘ post by problogger. I have read it! So I’ve come to conclusion that RSS stats aren’t that important and I shouldn’t let the stats bother me if they go down. As long as my traffic keep increasing then I’m happy!
What are your thoughts about this….?

I guess I just enjoy blogging. I’d be lying if I said that I don’t look at my stats regularly. If I have 50 loyal subscribers, the unique visitors will inevitably go up over time. Blogging is time game. I think that if you post consistently, people that are interested in your subject matter will find you. My 2 cents….Nice blog by the way! Did you design that RSS logo?
