The Digsby team encourages people to customize the application how they wish. This includes skins, themes, layout, notifications and conversations.

The biggest problem with bringing social networking to your desktop is that you often get too many updates which can be annoying, however with digsby you can simply turn the alerts off in preferences.
Conversations are logged and archived if you choose. If you need to find something later you can search for text or browse dates.
A contact on two of your networks can become one merged contact, and re-named if you wish, so you no longer have to put up with people changing their display names every 2 minutes.
When multitasking and you get a message you recieve a little pop up showing the message recieved… now the cool bit you can click within the pop up and respond or just leave it and it will dissapear after being idle. Pretty cool eh?
Best of all about digsby is it is FREE! however on the installation there are a few extras pushed at you such as yahoo toolbar but if you simply decline them and not install them its not an issue!
Conclusion
Facebook chat on the application has got to be my favourite, I don’t go on facebook often so having the chat available on my desktop is great! I reccommend this program to everyone. Download it here
