It is fast becoming the way to make money online by creating/selling eBooks or other digital products, but once you have created your product how do you automatically send the product to the customer straight away once payment has been recieved? Well I’m sure there are ways that you can create a script for yourself but if you are like me and don’t know or dont have the time to do this then your stuck. This is were Secure Delivery comes in.. you can set this up in 4 easy steps:

1 . Upload your product to Secure Delivery

2. Place their button on your sales page

3. Your customer pays direct into your paypal account

4. Secure Delivery sends the customer the product

The beauty of Secured Delivery is that the first product you set up with them is completely free. Now I haven’t got any digital products I sell right now but I think if I did I would be looking to use these guys.

In addition to supporting ClickBank and PayDotCom affiliate systems, Secure Delivery allows you to run your own affiliate program using PayPal or 2CheckOut as the payment processor. The Secure Delivery affiliate program charges no additional fees or commissions and is easily configured during product setup by filling in a few fields.

Some ideas for digital products you could sell would be:

  • eBooks
  • Software
  • Templates
  • Scripts
  • Icons
  • Games
  • Photos
  • Digital Art
  • MP3
  • Fonts

If you wish to sell more than one product delivered by Secure Delivery then you can see their pricing plan here

I would be interested to know if there are any other programs out there like this so its your turn to talk.

Do you sell eBooks or other digital products?

How do you deliver them?

About a month ago I read over at Erik Karey.com about how Erik was making money through eBay’s affiliate program with niche eBay stores. He posted a screen shot of his stats, he made $300 in less than 1 month! This immediately got my attention and I decided to give it a try. The whole idea uses wordpress as the store platform with phpBay pro plugin attached ($49 to purchase). I setup two of these niche stores using the plugin and I found the whole process effortless.

The eBay affiliate program is generous just look at their commision structure:

Revenue Share Compensation

eBay Revenue Compensation
$0 - $99.99 50%
$100.00 - $4,999.99 55%
$5,000.00 - $199,999.99 60%
$200,000.00 - $699,999.99 65%
$700,000.00 - $2,999,999.99 70%
$3,000,000.00 + 75%

This revenue share is the share of the profit that ebay makes (fees) and not the price the item sells for, but obviously the higher the item price the higher the fees so its better for you!

One tip I would give when setting up your niche eBay store would be to pick something that isn’t too high priced, something that will be more of an impulse buy as this will get you more conversions.

Its only been one month since I set up my stores and already I have been getting commisions I think next month with more promotion of the site it will just get better and better.

When you create a new site you want an email account with that domain so you can often find yourself have lots of different email accounts.

If you use Outlook as your email client then you can come across multiple problems such as when you want to check your email and your not at your normal PC or like me when you go to university and they block the ports for outlook!

So what I did when I first came to university was to set up all my different emails into my one gmail account.

Here is how you can do it too:

  1. Set up your other email to forward to your desired Gmail account. Most web-based emails have this. If you are using a hosted solution (for your own domain, for instance), you can control mail forwarding with cPanel, Plesk, or whichever control panel your provider uses. If in doubt, ask your host’s customer service.
  2. Set up Gmail to “send as” your alternative email address. Go to Settings–Accounts. Under “Send mail as,” click “Add another email address.” Enter your name and alternative email address here. You may also add a “reply to” address if you want your users to reply to a different email by default.
  3. Click “Next step,” then “Verify.” Gmail will then send your alternative address the verification link and code.
  4. Since you’ve already set up your alternative email to forward messages to Gmail, simply open up your Gmail inbox (in a new window, perhaps) to get the code. Click on the verification link, and your new “send from” address will be activated.

Sending from different email accounts is simple. You simply change the email account with a drop-down box. When replying, you can select under the Settings–Accounts menu whether to reply using your “default” address or reply using the address the email was sent to.

This saved me alot of time using this process and I hope it will be of some use to you.

I came across this e-Book by Caroline Middlebrook a fellow UK blogger. It says on her about page she quit her job and started blogging in September 2007 which is sort of the same time I started my blog. Except Caroline has made considerable progress… Just check out these stats:

Alexa = 27K PR = 5 and RSS = a massive 1700!

Those figures really impress me.. obviously as Caroline quit her job she would of had a lot more time than a person with a job but still.. amazing progress…

Back to the eBook, which is absolutely free… Here is some info about it:

WordPress is a free and open source piece of software that is commonly used for developing blogs. This very blog is developed on WordPress. But what many people don’t realise is that you can do so much more with WordPress too and one of the simplest ways in which it can be used is to create old-style static websites.

Why would you want to? Because one of the most common ways to make money on the Internet today is to pick a popular topic and put together a small website consisting of articles related to that topic and monetize the site with ads. The traffic comes from search engines and once the site is setup, it just runs on auto-pilot.

Using WordPress to develop such as a site is very easy and as I show you in the book there are free addons to WordPress that make the whole process (especially the monetization!) super-easy.

What I have done to write the book is created my own little niche site from scratch and documented the whole process live, step-by-step with images. The resulting site is live and can be viewed as you work your way through the book.

The ebook is 43 pages long and these are the major sections:

  • Chapter 1: Getting and Installing WordPress
  • Chapter 2: Basic WordPress Administration. 10
  • Chapter 3: Installing a New Theme. 13
  • Chapter 4: Setting up Adsense On Your Site. 16
  • Chapter 5: WordPress Plugins. 20
  • Chapter 6: Creating Your Site Content
  • Chapter 7: Final Thoughts
  • Appendix 1: Uploading Using FTP.. 33
  • Appendix 2: External Resources

You can download Caroline’s FREE eBook Here

I think this eBook is a great FREE resource for anybody starting out looking at trying to Make Money Online

Everyone will have failed projects no matter who you are, you can’t win all the time! What I have tended to do in the past with my failed projects was to just simply leave them to rot and not take advantage of the small amount of traffic they get.

So, Recently I thought I would optimize my failed projects with google adsense putting 3 adsense blocks in where I thought were the best positions. I found my adsense income doubled over the next month (most of my income comes from affiliate marketing) and is continuing to steady at this same rate. So it goes to show even failed projects can add that little bit extra cash in your pocket!

Of course there is other options with failed projects such as selling the domain name or selling the site as a whole these options have never appealed to me as you often get peanuts for the domain/site if there is no pagerank.

Your Turn to Talk

What do you tend to do with your failed projects?

Do you use any other techniques to optimize failed projects ?

motivational_poster_irony.jpgBeen a long time since I have last wrote anything on my blog and the main reason for this is that I have been at University and haven’t had much time to write anything…

Lets get back to the topic of this post. Irony of life and google?

Well, when I first started this blog many months ago I tried so hard with link building and SEO to get to the top spot of my targeted keyword ‘make money online’ but I only managed to get to page 3. My other main desire was to achieve page rank.

Now it seems that I did achieve Page rank in the last update and was given PR3, however it was taken back by google just weeks after it was given… On the other hand I did not continue with my link building efforts, yet my posistion in the google listings increase to page 1 rank5th! for my targeted search term ‘make money online’. The god of google works in mysterious ways…

Now I am getting traffic from google which is what I wanted in the first place I believe I have lost my original readership I had from posting on a regular basis!

So I think I am going to set an experiment here can I beat my old traffic by simply posting on a regular basis along with google traffic?

OR

Does all the other stuff such as commenting on other blogs and other promotion techniques really matter that much ?
