If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Ok so we know that SEO is all about getting links with your keyword as an anchor text. For example your keyword is ‘make money online’ you make the links coming to your site to be ‘make money online’. This is known widely within the community. So nothing new there. But how can you get incoming links to your site with the correct anchor texts ?

Well I’ve spoken about this before in this post: ‘How to increase google page rank with backlinks‘ . One of the options for your SEO campaign is to buy links. This is what we are looking at today. I am in a position to offer you my reader 140 permanent regular links for $25 or 140 featured links for $45. The 140 directories are spread over 30 different IP addresses. The directories page rank vary between PR0 - PR4 but I would say the average at PR3.

A full list of directories is available on request. If you wish purchase or need any further details please use my contact form and I will send you the payment details.

Previously I have been writing about how to increase your income with having other projects other than just your blog. Obviously not everyone knows HTML or knows how to build a website. So I’ve got some help for those of you that don’t know how to build a site.

19pages

This is a very simple script that lets build a site with up 19pages (as the name suggests!) . An example of a 19pages.com site is here my free directory list. One of the main advantages of this script is the fact that it doesn’t need a MySQL database, so if you are limited to the number of SQL databases on your host, this is of great advantage. You will need a modern day server that runs PHP 5 and can use .htaccess files (ask you host if you are unsure).

Joomla

This script is a lot more complex that 19 pages and can be used to make a great website. There are lots of templates available for this script. The script is free and you can find free templates as well as paid templates quite easily with a search on google. I have used this script before and found it ok, it can be quite tricky to get the hand of but I sure if you work on it you will soon get the hang of it. (This script does need a MySQL database)

Wordpress

Yes! Wordpress as a static content site! Heres a great post on how to make wordpress into a static content site.

Yes I am aware there are more scripts out there to be used to make websites easily but if I was to list them all I might be here a while! Good luck with trying out a new site, and remember! Experiment!

I’ve just been accepted into the Text Link Ads program. For those of you who don’t know what TLA is I have written a previous post about it here: Make Money Online with Text Link Ads. I pretty much signed up for the program as soon as I started blogging because I knew it was something I wanted to take advantage of. I took the advice of Derek back in June and emailed through asking for my site to be accepted, but I didn’t get a response. I don’t blame them for not responding because at that time this blog was brand new and had really poor stats even worse than now! haha.

I decided to retry this method of emailing the company to try and get my blog accepted into the program and I had quite a shock when I got a response back saying I have been accepted! So you can now see the Featured Links section in the sidebar which you buy one for $15/month with 8 spaces available, I have a possibility of making $60/month from selling text links on my blog! This is taking into account the 50% commision taken by TLA.

So my advice to anyone waiting to be accepted from TLA is to email them and ask to be approved! you never know you might get lucky!

Can blogging make you enough money? We all know the answer to this, yes blogging can make you substantial amount of money and we know this from blogs like TechCrunch, John Chow and ProBlogger. They are all making $10k+ per month just from blogging. But in reality those blogs are a minority most of us will not see the $10k+ per month just from blogging.

So will blogging make you enough money? When I say enough money I mean so you can eventually quit your job. My answer to this is no, blogging alone will not make you enough money to quit your job… unless some how you get lucky for example John Chow and Pro Blogger both decide to review your blog for free and you get tons of traffic for your blog. Or you pay out a lot of money on promoting your blog with reviews, paid links and banners.

However you can get a decent amount of money through your blog which WILL increase over time. In my opinion it pays to have several other projects at the same time as your blog. Say you need $2,000/month, your blog makes $200/month, you still need $1,800 to be able to quit your job. If you have 5 other sites making $360 each per month you’ve done it you’ve hit your target and you can quit your job….

If only if it was that easy… but you get my point, if you have several small pieces of pie sooner or later you will have one big pie accumulated.

But I don’t know to make sites I only know how to write… well learn how to make sites, experiment! There are plenty of tutorial sites out there that can help you. Or take that money you make from your blog and gradually put it into a new project with a site designer which can be very pricey. But eventually you will get that investment back by having 2 income streams rather than your one blog.

You may asking yourself well why not just make another blog, well yes that’s an option you could do but personally I find it difficult enough as it is to make regular posts on one blog never mind 2! Sites can have static content which you hardly have to update and therefore equal less work.

Summary

We all want to make money online yet some of us only have our hands in one cookie jar rather than several. To make enough money you need to have a few projects not just your blog, not unless you’re Problogger. However don’t give up on blogging you can still make a lot of money from blogging it just takes time to build up your blog.

Many programs such as ReviewMe count RSS Readership as something to rate your blog, but ask this question what would you rather advertise on a blog with 50 uniques a day with 200 RSS readers or a blog with 150 uniques a day with 25 RSS readers ?

I know which one I would rather advertise on. Just because a blog has more RSS readers than another does not mean it has more readers, because some people like to visit blogs from bookmarks rather than reading from RSS.

The reason why I am writing this post is because my traffic to this blog has been going up up and up, but my RSS readership has started to increase and now started to decrease. This started to de-motivate me slightly but then I asked myself the question Does RSS readership matter if you are still getting regular traffic?

I know what you’re thinking now you should read the ‘Why does my Feedburner Subscriber Count Fluctuate?‘ post by problogger. I have read it! So I’ve come to conclusion that RSS stats aren’t that important and I shouldn’t let the stats bother me if they go down. As long as my traffic keep increasing then I’m happy!

What are your thoughts about this….?

I did a post back at the start of this blog about an affiliate company called tradedoubler, which is a very good site for affiliate marketing but one of the draw backs from the site is the fact that you have to wait for the company or tradedoubler to approve your site for the program you are applying to. This isn’t the case with AffiliateFuture.com as soon as you sign up you can get started making money because as I said you don’t need to wait to be accepted!

Another advantage of the site is that its not just for the UK or one particular country its for US, UK and the EU. From my experience with the site I would say there are a lot of programs available with affiliate future that you wouldn’t get from other affiliate sites (I am a member of many and you often see the same programs in each site, this is not the case with affiliate future.).

One thing I don’t like about the site is the stats page, its very basic, but who wants to look at stats all the time when you can easily see if you have made a commision on the homepage.

You can also have search boxes from affiliate future which can compare shopping prices for over 1,000 products, car hire, flights, and holidays. This is a unique feature; I have not come across this with any other affiliate site before.
