I recently made a post about BloggerWave were you can make money online by reviewing peoples websites on your blog. PayPerPost is another service just like BloggerWave but its a little tougher for your blog to be accepted… but there are more opportunities with them and therefore you can more money with them. If you are looking to put ads on blogs then this is a good place to do that as there are a lot of bloggers signed up to this program.

Unlike BloggerWave, PPP have an excellent referral program were you receive $15/referral which is an easy way for you to make money online through PayPerPost!

Alexa ranking is a web ranking system of websites and blogs worldwide. Alexa ranking is based around your site traffic only. Now I’ve heard of Alexa before and I used to check my rankings on my previous websites and often they were very high. This is because Alexa only tracks your traffic if the user has their toolbar installed or your site has the Alexa widget installed. This is what I over looked on my other websites, as I’ve seen with installing the widget on this site over the past few days the weekly average has shot down into the 500k mark rather than 2 million.

You may ask why is Alexa rank important ? Well Alexa rank is used by a lot of sites for instance: payperpost, text-link-ads and bloggerwave. They use it as a indicator of how good your site or blog is. The better the blog or site you have the more money you will be able to make online through these types of companies.

Heres something we can all aim to get from our money making efforts! Its a bit far off for me yet though!

Al Melling’s hand-built Hellcat car - costing £100,000 - has 1175hp delivered by a 6-litre V10 engine with the block and heads are milled from solid billets of aluminium rather than cast. The car is front-engined with rear-wheel-drive using a carbon fibre monocoque body and chassis, independent wishbone suspension and a six speed trans-axle, inspired by the Chevrolet Corvette. Its weight is 1,200kg, with 60 mph coming up in an F1-rivalling 2.8 seconds, and a Vmax of 200mph-plus. Melling plans a GT1 version to challenge Aston Martins, Vipers and Corvettes at Le Mans in 2007. The cabin is race-inspired with deep bucket seats, harnesses and carbon trim. Only 50 a year will be produced by Melling Consultancy Design’s factory in Rochdale, Lanacashire, and sold through one national dealer.

If you own and run a blog you can make money online by using Bloggerwave. They provide you with people looking to get reviewed on blogs and are willing to pay for that review. Reviews start anywhere from $1 upwards. This concept of earning while reviewing isn’t new there are other companies out there that also provide such a service such as payperpost and reviewme. These other companies are often hard to get accepted into while BloggerWave is a newer company its a little easier to get accepted right now.

Once signed up there are certain things that you have to put in your posts on certain opportunities such as link, pictures and code. This post was sponsored by Bloggerwave in which they paid me $10 for me to tell you about them.

I’m looking at a site called LittleEarner.co.uk today. Little Earner is a blog that specializes in bringing it readers ways of how to make and save money whether it being online or offline. An example of one their current posts was how to recycle your old mobile phone and make money by doing so!

This blog has a very smooth template that is not cramped with too much information like you might see on many blogs available. Many of my readers want to and are making money online, but another way to make money is by actually saving yourself money and getting things for free. The site is pretty new right now but still has lots of useful information, its one to bookmark for sure and check out for future posts! LittleEarner.co.uk

I come across this site on a large well known blog. On first look I couldn’t get it  to work so I had download winamp to be able to listen live to the content. Which I didn’t mind doing because I’ve used winamp before and it ain’t such a bad program for listening to music or watching videos.

Basically webmasterradio.fm has a large range of topics they discuss with different shows, but a lot of the content is by people with successful websites such as SEOmoz and shoemoney. These sort of guys are giving you tips on how to make your sites better and also bringing you up to date news on whats happening in the web mastering world.

One bad thing I would say when downloading the podcasts from previous shows it didn’t make it obvious that one of them was in german *I think*. Obviously I can’t speak german so I wasted my time downloading that podcast! Other than that I think that webmasterradio.fm is pretty cool and I think I will be listening to it again soon.

MetaCafe is a site like YouTube which you can upload your videos free of charge, but with a twist. Once your video has hit 20,000 impressions ( it will take time I know ) and has a rating of 3.0 or higher you will be paid $5 per every 1,000 impressions! Not much work involved really make the video and upload! its pretty simple.

There are some general rules you must follow in order to upload your video’s:

1. The video and music if any, must be owned by you.
2. Your video must be suitable for everyone to view.
3. Videos should preferably be between 20 seconds and 6 minutes long.
4. You must be willing to give MetaCafe a non-exclusive license to promote your video ie. MetaCafe can put your video on some other media.
5. People who appear in your video must sign model release forms.
6. Video formats accepted: 3gp, .flv, .mp4, .mov, .qt, .asf, .avi, .divx, .mpa, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .m1v, .wmf, and .wmv.

Check out some of this weeks top earners! There is some serious money to be made here methinks! Checking out that guy with the top earnings profile it shows he has made $39,000 from metacafe alone!

I’m just finishing up my course (Access to Science) at college and the most important part of the course is to do a research project and then report back with your research and the findings of your experiment.

I did my experiment on Amylase concentration in the human mouth and wrote up the report. I handed the work into my tutor to find that I had I hadn’t really done the amount of work that I ought to have done. My tutor gave me a real hard time about it and really I was upset about it all because this is it, if you don’t pass you don’t pass the course. At first I wasn’t very happy my tutor had been so hard on me… but I went home that night and worked on it solid for 7 hours straight. Would I have done that if he hadn’t been so hard on me? I think not.

So the morale of the story is I went back in the next morning after working hard all night and I passed! I got the right level required to pass! wahooo!! It was a lot of pressure off my mind. I would like to thank my tutor for giving a good old kick up the ass!

I’ve been recently looking into correct keyword usage for my finance website and when I’ve looked at the site I’ve realized that I wasn’t doing a good job of it. So first thing I did was to check on the SEO book keyword suggestion tool. I put in the general keyword I’m selling for example ’secured loan’ and put UK results only as I want to target UK users to my site. The site brings back information on estimated monthly search volume and ’secured loan’ is 837k/month but when you search on Google for ’secured loan’ there is a hell of a lot of sites that are using the keyword ’secured loan’. I went to the next word down to find the estimated search volume to be a lot lower at 60k/month but when I search in Google for this keyword there was not many sites using this keyword. So this will be the keyword I will be targeting because there is less competition and therefore more of a chance of my getting number 1 spot for that keyword.

Remember to make money online you need to get traffic to your site and if you don’t get any traffic then its likely you aren’t going to be making much money! By using keywords you can optimize your Google traffic.

Once you have found the keyword you want to use you need to implement it into your site.

  • use <h1> tags for the keyword
  • Put the keyword in your meta tag title
  • try and use the keyword in your content about 10-12% of the overall content.

I’ve tried to keep this post as simple as possible because really I’m no SEO guru I’ll leave the detailed stuff to the pro’s :)
